2032 - The OASI trust fund reserves are projected to be depleted reaching 25% of annual cost at the start of 2032 and depleted by first quarter of 2033. After this depletion, estimated payroll tax receipts cover roughly 77% of benefits - a 23% cut if Congress does not act.
Our Bridge Plan - Saves Social Security to 2101 - builds the bridge Protects OASI by requiring higher earners to pay their fair share and improves benefits, modeled on the Social Security 2100 Act.
